Howdy!
Claire Norris is an LA-based queer comedy writer. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, she hails from the world of animation production. Her writing is inspired by her relationship with her siblings, her struggles with mental health, and her experience as a labor organizer. Claire loves urban fantasy, musicals, and wacky stories about introverts getting pushed out of their comfort zones.
After studying film and TV at the University of Texas, Claire has worked at studios such as Sony Pictures Imageworks, Disney, Nickelodeon, and Kuku Studios. While working, she has also taken an independent study of visual storytelling classes, participated in the Women in Animation mentor circles program, and written over 100 short stories throughout the 2020 lockdown. Her writing has been published in Syzygy Magazine and on Webtoon Canvas. These days, Claire performs stand-up and improv at Flappers Comedy Club and Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. She is currently writing an episode of Alma’s Way for PBS Kids.
